    • Fanatico

The Villa Trasqua winery produces concentrated, terroir-based Chianti Classico wines of the utmost quality in significant and stable quantities.

The level of attention placed in the vineyard, based on the fundamental principle that “wine is made in the vineyard” enables us to harvest fully-ripe and aromatic grapes that are slowly and genuinely turned into concentrated and authentic wines without the use of great technologies.

Love, enthusiasm and passion for wine are our team’s driving forces, bringing ever-growing harmony between vineyard and cellar, resulting in an ideal range of Chianti Classico and IGT wines.

    • Passion At Heart

The extraordinary souls at Villa Trasqua carry fanatical blood in their veins. One can sense the passion at heart. They handle it with ceaseless care, nothing is wasted. The heartfelt passion of Villa Trasqua – a rare goodness.

The team is the heartbeat of Villa Trasqua. There is a rare and unusual feeling for wine running in their blood. This sensitivity helps them to wield the primal forces – the terrains, light, winds and developing plants – that shape the grapes’ substance and essence. “We make wine in the vineyard”, they say, “we breath the soul into the wine through the vine, and not merely once it’s in the cellar.”

    • Paranormals

In daylight, the extraordinary people of Villa Trasqua are indistinguishable from others. It is whispered, however, that they turn fanatical in the vineyard, during the harvest and in their cellars: they tend to their wine restlessly and continuously.

They want to make vineyard wines with an unmistakable terroir character for wine lovers across the world. Again and again small samples of the wines are tasted so that even the smallest of changes are noted down, throughout the long wait for the optimal moment to capture and enclose the wine in bottles.

    • Its genetic make-up is no matter of luck

The extraordinary souls of Villa Trasqua nurture its heritage. That which the wines carry within them is tended to and nursed year after year. It is handed down and spread out, so that it can be widely dispersed through the grapes, wines and cellars.

The tantalizing aromas with their velvety structures are concealed beneath the skins of Villa Trasqua’s unique grapes. The ripe vineyards have an invaluable worth and are carefully harvested and vinified separately. The young wines are placed in large barrels of Slovenian oak and small French barriques and left to age slowly. Not a single molecule is lost.

    • With higher blessings

The extraordinary souls of Villa Trasqua bring together what belongs together. It is rumoured that this is celebrated with love for detail and with blessings from higher realms. Blessings that engulf the land, too.

The Trasqua high plateau with its special microclimate is a bounty and gift: 120 ha of land with more than 50 ha of vineyards for the production on Chianti Classico DOCG and IGT wines. An additional 10 ha with more than 3000 olive trees yield choice extra virgin olive oil.

    • That which is worldly appears not to belong to this world
